.: Teens Using Digital Drugs to Get High

Topic music (By Cif!, Wednesday 21 July 2010 @20:40) Contribution by tobozo

«Kids around the country are getting high on the internet, thanks to MP3s that induce a state of ecstasy. And it could be a gateway drug leading teens to real-world narcotics.

«In Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 2004’s lysergic blockbuster that would have finally gotten Alexander Pope laid if he weren’t a 266-year old invalid, Joel Barish (Jim Carrey) hires Dr. Howard Mierzwiak (Tom Wilkinson) and his firm Lacuna, Inc. to erase the memories of his dysfunctional relationship with Clementine Kruczynski (Kate Winslet).

Now, our friends at JESS3 have unveiled The Ex-Blocker, inspired by Stuff Hipters Hate. It’s a Firefox and Chrome plugin that erases all name and likeness of your ex from the internet, even if they become a meme, or the president.

You’ll no longer have to threaten to delete your Facebook account or concoct an elaborate e-hoax to assuage the reality-shattering complications that are born from break-ups. Simply construct an internet that omits bad vibes all together, man.»
